Motivation Monday 16 July

Welcome to Term 3!!  We have started on a very positive note in the first of our classes for this term.  It’s great to see the  motivation and enhthusiasm you all brought to your first sessions so far.  Thankyou for making my job so wonderful. Each and every one of you inspires me..

Just a bit of housekeeping first – but then read on for a very motivational message..

12 Week Challenge – only 3 weeks to go for the current programme – Keep up the awesome work guys!  Limited places are available for Round 2 which will start early-mid August just in time for Spring.

The Nutritionist approved Plans provide recipes that are easy to make, nutritious, and of course delicious! They’re even suitable for breastfeeding Mums. The exercise programmes will reshape and tone your body, helping you to feel stronger and fitter than ever before!  Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced options are all available.

Tshirts – For those who have ordered The Leading Edge T-shirts they are on their way.  If you would like one too please let me know by 21 July to place your order.  Thanks.

Relay For Life – we are now ready to enter our team into this fundraiser for cancer research.  A great cause! A friend of ours has just been diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer with NO symptoms..  It literally was a silent killer.  He found out by accident.  As they are struggling financially with mounting medical bills and health insurance that covers so little nowadays..  My husband Tom has donated three days worth of his salary to his friend to help him out.  I admire Tom so much for this kind gesture and urge you to help us out to raise funds for cancer research.  You never know when a friend or family member of yours may need the help of cancer specialists. Please let me know by 27 July if you’d like to help out.

Please read my bit of interesting info for this week’s Motivating Monday message – don’t skip it!!

There aren’t many actual shortcuts.

There are merely direct paths…

Most people don’t take them, because they frighten us–too direct, I guess. It’s easy to avoid the things that frighten us if we wander around for a while. Stalling takes many forms, and one of them looks like a shortcut.

Things that look like shortcuts are actually detours (disguised as less work).

How well this applies to fitness.  I believe we can certainly attribute shortcuts to what often ends up in failure of our fitness goals.

Often times we are fearful that working hard will be too hard! Too much demand, too much change! But isn’t that why we are eating healthy and exercising? To change?

If you aren’t growing, you’re dying. <– Think about that for a minute.

I love FAST results, but achieving a year-long fit and healthy physique is only accomplished by putting in the road work. No shortcuts have worked for me and if they did, they were only temporary.

SHORTCUTS ARE OFTEN DETOURS

May this motivate you to KEEP working hard despite not seeing results as fast as you would like. Even God took 6 days to create the world. He took His time .

If you are taking shortcuts, such as eating very low calories, skipping meals, ignoring all carbs, taking fat loss pills, you are likely just delaying your results. TRUST that a beautiful body takes time to perfect and trust that HARD WORK PAYS OFF!

You can do more than you think you can!!
