I began training with The Leading Edge in Spring 2012, 3 months after giving birth to my son. I first joined the mums and bubs class after feeling overjoyed that I could take my newborn son to class with me. As a first time mum I wanted to make sure I got out of the house and after receiving a brochure in the mail, I thought I would give it a try. I felt nervous the first session, worried about what I looked like, the clothes I wore and my lack of fitness. However, after completing the first session, I never felt that way again. It was clear to me that the my trainer, Lorraine, had an amazing knowledge of potential post pregnancy issues and ensured that each activity I undertook was safe for me to do so. The environment was so welcoming and in no way judgmental. It was a unique experience with Lorraine often not only training but effortlessly assisting by pushing unsettled babies to sleep in the pram. I have never been overweight or unhealthy, however I didn’t feel happy in myself post pregnancy. I am now lighter, fitter, stronger and healthier than I have ever been. While I no longer train in the child friendly classes, I am still enjoying a personal training session that I can take my son to and a Total Body Workout class. I love being pushed to achieve my goals and I honestly believe The Leading Edge has helped me achieve things that I once thought impossible.
